The Story

Every age has its gilded lie.

Fashion made an art of it. Cheap cores dressed in borrowed shine. Logos worth more than the leather. Beauty used to hide what lies underneath.

The old word dajjal grows from a root that means to cover, to coat, to gild. It is one of the oldest names we have for a beautiful deception.

We took that name as a warning to ourselves. If we ever gild a lie, the name on the box will call us out.

So we build the other way: materials shown, makers named, no weak core under gold.

Gold is not the enemy. Hiding behind it is.

The First Piece

The Quiet Flagship.

Our first piece is the quietest one. A clean ivory court sneaker on a stitched cupsole, full-grain calf leather, made in a traditional Italian lasting process. Unisex. No noise, no borrowed shine. Just the proof of how we build.

DAJJAL is a design house founded by architect and designer Syed Khalid. We design shoes, clothing and objects the way architects design buildings: structure first, then beauty.

DAJJAL is being established as a US company (DAJJAL LLC) and will launch direct-to-consumer from dajjalofficial.com, with a global audience from day one.
